First training on the Solent accomplished

Of course, a fourth place in this trainings regatta was not was we thought of when starting. However competition of Fever, Jika Jika [both are expected to be again our competitors in the Cowes Week 2012] and “Major Peter Scholfield” was very strong. Winsome felt like a very well oiled boat and crew. Basically our boat handling was what we expected and hoped. According to our helmsman Andy Cassell, we never had a better crew. It must mean we have learned something in the two years [2010 and 2011] he did not helm Winsome. We had the complete Cowes Week Crew on board, except Peter Morton who did let himself replace by Andy because of his holiday in the Caribbean with Queen Alison.

We are content with this training and looking forward to the RORC Morgan Cup, starting Saturday the 5th of May.

Winsome’s Cottage was also in order, close to perfect.

Cooking was excellent, as usual.
